David Falden, OD, FAAO
Dr. David Falden grew up in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. He received his Associate Degree in Chemistry from Santa Barbara City College, California. He then attended York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where he received his Bachelor’s of Science in Physics. Moving south to Fort Lauderdale, he completed his Doctor of Optometry at Nova Southeastern College of Optometry and also received another Bachelor’s of Science in Vision Science. He speaks fluent French and is a member of the American Optometric Association and a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. David Falden also recently obtained his Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry this past October 2011. The designation – Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) – means that a practitioner has met the high standards of professional competence in a broad range of issues related to eye care. Most Fellows of the Academy provide primary eye care. Many also have advanced expertise in a particular area of optometry and may focus their practice to a discipline such as contact lenses, low vision, pediatric vision and vision therapy, or public health and environmental vision. – This defnition can be found on the Academy website.
Dr. Dave Falden is an active member of the Ponte Vedra Chamber of Commerce and of the Son’s of Norway. Dr. Dave also gives back to the community by providing hundreds of eye examinations every year through a charity called OneSight for those in need.
Allison Falden, OD, FAAO, FCOVD
Dr. Allison Falden, OD, FAAO, FCOVD, earned her Bachelor’s in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida in 2002 with high honors. Following graduation she attended Nova Southeastern Optometry School in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. In 2006, she received her Doctor of Optometry with honors and another Bachelor’s of Science in Vision Science. She went on to complete a one-year residency program at Nova in Pediatrics, Binocular Vision, and Vision Therapy. During her residency she gained experience with strabismus, amblyopia, acquired brain injuries and vision related learning disorders. She is a the current Vision Source Administrator for North East Florida and is past President of the North East Florida Optometric Association Board, a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and is Board Certified in Vision Therapy and Development as a Fellow in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. Dr. Falden has written for Optometry journals and contributed to a Vision Therapy book. She also consults at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital for vision problems that result from brain injuries and head trauma.
In the past she has worked in a primary care atmosphere, with an emphasis in specialty contact lenses. Although, she enjoys working with these types of patients, her passion lies within the Pediatrics and Vision Therapy Realm, since it is an under-served population.
Dr. Allison Falden is currently the only practicing doctor in the Ponte Vedra area to have completed a fellowship or board certification in Vision Development and Rehabilitation (Therapy).

Jenna Rogers, OD
Dr. Jenna Rogers, O.D., earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Vanderbilt University and then went on to graduate with honors from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. During optometry school, she received clinical honors in all of her rotations including pediatrics and vision therapy. She also served as Class President and was a member of the Gold Key International Honor Society. Dr. Rogers continued her education by completing a residency in Vision Therapy and Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation under the guidance of Dr. Barry Tannen, O.D. She has extensive experience in working with adults and children with strabismus, amblyopia, and acquired brain injury including concussions. She is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and has co-authored articles for Optometry journals.
Sherry – Insurance Coordinator at the River City Office
Sherry joined our group in early 2011. She primarily works at our northside location, however she also helps out at this location when needed. She has a background of working in office settings completing her certification in Medical Billing & Coding. Her responsibilieties include verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations for all medical and vision insurances, as well as helping out with daily office responsibilities.
